Zanders Seal The Deal at Incredible Amsterdam Event
Business Fives returned to Amsterdam for another fantastic afternoon of corporate football, networking and fundraising, with the teams combining to raise an impressive €2,629 for charity.
Leading the way off the pitch were KnowBe4 (Phish & Chips), who were crowned our Top Fundraisers after raising a brilliant €1,000 for KiKa.
The Champions League produced plenty of drama, with Zanders edging past Collab Group on penalties after a 2-2 draw in their semi-final. MA-IT booked the other final spot with a 3-1 victory over QTC Recruitment.
Zanders then produced the goods when it mattered, defeating MA-IT 3-1 in the Champions League Final to be crowned our Amsterdam champions. Zanders had already raised €530 for the Red Cross, with their victory securing a further €350 Business Fives donation for the charity. MA-IT finished as runners-up having played in support of KWF.
The Europa League became an all-KnowBe4 affair. Phish & Chips edged Schiphol Travel International 3-2 in their semi-final, while Phish Kickers defeated Cover Genius 3-0. Phish Kickers then came out on top 4-2 in the final, securing a €150 donation for Save the Children to add to the €175 they had already raised.
There was more knockout drama in the Europa Conference League. Schiphol Travel International progressed past Dealroom on penalties before meeting Cover Genius in the final. Another penalty shootout was required after a 2-2 draw, with Cover Genius coming out on top to lift the ECL trophy. They also raised an excellent €424 for The Life You Can Save’s Global Women & Girls Fund.
There were some excellent individual performances throughout the tournament. Rebecca from Cover Genius was named Player of the Tournament, while Remi Dos Santos of KnowBe4 (Phish Kickers) finished as Top Goalscorer with seven goals.
Champions Zanders also picked up two individual honours, with Thies Rothman named Player of the Match in the Final and Stefan van Setten claiming the Golden Glove after recording four clean sheets.
We were also delighted to welcome former Netherlands international Stan Valckx, who shared stories from an outstanding career that included representing his country and playing at the highest level of Dutch and European football.
A huge thank you to Stan, all of the teams who took part and everyone who contributed to another memorable Business Fives event in Amsterdam.
Most importantly, another fantastic €2,629 raised for charity, supporting a brilliant range of causes.

Prizes
At our Amsterdam Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament, there will be a €350 charity donation made to the Champions League Winners & a €150 donation to the Europa League winners. Awards for Top Fundraisers, Top Goalscorer, Ladies Player of the Tournament, Golden Glove, Player of the Match in Champions League Final
Health & Safety
Our priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients at our events. We provide a medical support team, which is standard at all our events for any injuries that might occur on the pitch.
Players are advised to wear shinpads for safety but this is not mandatory in order to take part and is down to individuals own risk assessments.

Arrival Details
When your team arrives at the Amsterdam Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament, please report to the registration desk; staff at the venue will direct you to where you will register and hand in your waiver should this not already be returned. There will be some casual networking, and you will then be shown the changing rooms where you can prepare your team and get ready for the tournament. If possible, please try to arrive no later than 14:00 to make sure that everything is to your satisfaction and that the day runs on schedule.
Charity
By taking part in the Amsterdam Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament, you have all helped us raise over £1,000,000 through our events, which we are absolutely thrilled with, and we wish you every success in the tournament. We will have a trophy on offer for the top fundraisers at the event so do continue to push your online fundraising pages out throughout the day.
Facilities
There are not always lockers on site to keep your gear secure so please have a plan in place for this. Both male and female changing rooms equipped with showers will be available for players to make use of before and after the tournament.
Drinks Reception
There will be a drinks reception after the tournament with each player getting a drinks token for the beverage of their choice, all teams are encouraged to stay for the prize giving and Q & A session with our guest speakers to network with peers regardless of the outcome of the tournament. Please let us know in advance if you have any questions for our guest speakers and we can add these into the session.
Food & Dietary
There will be a buffet available for players after the tournament and if there is any specific dietary requirements please notify us in advance.
On the Pitch
Please be reminded that player conduct on the pitch reflects upon the image of your company. Players are encouraged to compete in the tournament in a competitive but friendly manner. All players should have read and understood the rules which can be found on our website here prior to taking part.
